Protesters denying public our rights

WHILE I do applaud and encourage the right of ordinary citizens to protest against any form of injustice, I do have an issue with the people who have encamped at the top of the South Mall in Cork.

Protesters denying public our rights

The people have taken over a public amenity, which was developed for the citizens of the city, who in many cases, do not live or cannot afford to live in houses with front gardens. I have to say, that is little more than Nazism by these people, who are telling us that they are doing it for us.

All they have done is taken control of a public area, in a highly unoriginal way. If they wanted to do some thing serious, why don’t they set up their tents in the banks? To be honest I do not see any difference between the protesters and those they are protesting against. Both are denying us our rights.
