Budget hardship cannot work

THEY say €4.3 billion is the likely amount being taken out of this fragile economy in the next budget.

We are being told that this is to fix the sovereign debt problem.

How do we let the Michael Noonan and Brian Lenihan types get away with such posturings?

Our finance minister is being mighty disingenuous in referring to the question of sovereign debt, with no reference whatsoever to billions being thrown away in repaying foreign banks the money they badly invested. We would have some chance of solving the economic imbalance were it not for the double whammy.

So now we face apocalypse two.

This budget can’t work. The indebtedness magic-ed onto the children of this nation by Brian Lenihan and his banker advisers cannot be settled. Michael, like Brian before him, carries on regardless.
