Listen to the people

IN relation to Italy’s €45 billion austerity cuts over two years, they intend to cut the amount of politicians by half and reduce their over-generous perks and wages.

They have acknowledged that there are too many being paid too much. Even though our lot have said something remotely similar, could they hurry up and get rid of half the Dáil, plus the Seanad and presidency?

Or at least let their paymasters decide on what’s suitable for this country and its needs. Listen to the demands of the Irish people, not the greedy politicians lining their pockets, Enda.
