Justice delayed - Laughing at us all

ONE of the most powerful private citizens in the English-speaking world — media tycoon and News Corporation chief Rupert Murdoch — was held to some sort account by a committee of Commons MPs.

Justice delayed - Laughing at us all

Mr Murdoch’s grilling, and his son’s, came within weeks of the depth of the phone hacking scandal being revealed. Already many powerful people have seen their careers in the police and the media come to an end because of the outrage. Some of those implicated will end up in the courts.

How starkly this contrasts with the fate of the bankers who destroyed this country. Nearly three years after our economy was destroyed, they are still playing golf, sailing their yachts and laughing at the rest of us.
