Pension levy fiasco

I AM extremely alarmed at the Government’s proposal imposing a levy of 0.6% per annum over four years on private pension funds.

As a member of the Irish Airlines Superannuation Scheme I am appalled at the implications of this proposed action. The fund is already in deficit and any interference could well put its future in doubt.

I have paid all my taxes promptly and have provided for my old age in a responsible manner. If these measures are passed I will never vote FG/Lab again.

The last crowd of Fianna Fáil gangsters are responsible for this mess, but I voted for a change of government hoping naively they would follow the wishes of the electorate, but so far they have not done so.

What of there election promises to burn the bond holders?
