Looking back to look forward

TOMORROW night the lives of just under 4.5 million people who live in the Republic will be statistically defined by the answers submitted through a 24-page census form.

The investigation will establish how this society has engineered itself; the nuts and bolts of our day-to-day lives, the how and when of our day and our work.

It will endeavour to build a picture of the nation’s health — or ill health — and educational achievement.
