JOHN FITZGERALD’S letter on the carbon tax (March 18) was long on rheortic and noble ideals and short on details of how to achieve same.

We should ignore the ‘green’ doomsayers

Bar the usual Luddite view of tax and it will be all okay, people will go and use less.

I have to ask people of these views the following: How do you propose that where people live outside major towns and cities of Ireland that they get to work where there is no suitable or non existent public transport?
