Courses needed

I HAVE been living in Kanturk a few years now and I’m glad I moved here.

But I have noticed there are two secondary schools here, but VTOS or FÁS don’t seem to operate any educational courses for the unemployed here.

If anyone wishes to update their skills or chances of finding employment, they will have to travel to Cork city, Mallow or Kerry everyday.

In these areas, there are secondary schools operating VTOS courses for the unemployed, but all that’s on offer in Kanturk are evening courses.

Most people have children that are home in the evenings, so they can’t attend and what’s available in courses would not get you a job.
