Hollow words on Libya

AM I the only person who is amazed at the way the USA has responded to the Libyan crisis?

Is the USA serious about the welfare of the Libyan people or is it just merely launching a new version of its old foreign policy? Once more the world is being swept along by a torrent of high-sounding principles issued from Washington, London and Paris. However, recent history should inform us when we assess these glib statements.
