Redefining reality

ENDA Kenny spent a lot of time on Tuesday night throwing personal abuse at Micheál Martin in an attempt to disguise the fact that his five-point plan is a list of sound bites without substance.

If I were hiring, Kenny would not get the job. The reality is that placing Fine Gael at the steering wheel is like giving the wheel to someone who is determined to have power but who doesn’t actually have any practical driving experience. Some weeks ago Fine Gael said that top public servants who don’t believe in Fine Gael’s plans will be replaced within six months. Recently, Kenny said that Fine Gael would have done things differently. The record shows this not to be true. Redefining reality to suit oneself is not a healthy attribute in someone about to assume power, nor is replacing professional people who disagree with you.
