Don’t blame Greens for ghost estate debacle

FINE GAEL, Labour and Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin councillors gave planning permissions for thousands of ghost estates, zombie hotels and hundreds of thousands of unfinished and empty houses around the country.

It was these vanity projects, costing tens of billions of euro that caused our banking crisis.

Much of the electoral success of these parties will be due to expensive advertising (posters, billboards, newspapers, etc), funded by the very bankers and property developers that drove these decisions.
