A deadly scourge

EVEN before the unfortunate death of a national broadcaster, many people were aware of cocaine abuse in Ireland, but cocaine breeds a kind of silence.

A deadly scourge

Long before recent events I saw people trying to hide their abuse of cocaine. The drug is very insidious, maybe worse then heroin — if you take it once it is too late. Cocaine tricks your mind into thinking it is OK. Some people survive cocaine but always wish for more, but others die. TV licences should not finance other people’s drug habits. It couldn’t be worse but people in Ireland seem to ignore it. What a rotten society.
