Thank you for giving blood and saving lives

I AM writing to say a big thank you to all those who attended our clinics over the past two weeks and responded to our request to donate.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service relies on voluntary non-paid donors to provide sufficient blood and blood components to patients in hospitals. When supplies were low and with the cancellation of a number of clinics the public once again showed they care and braved the bad weather to ensure that our supply to hospitals was uninterrupted.

When the going got tough the tough got going and so it was with the personnel from the Defence Forces.
