We’re in too deep

IS rank stupidity everywhere, or maybe it’s our inability to deal with raw mathematics that has us focused on a budgetary figure which really is of little significance.

Our pundits analyse the possibilities of gathering the equivalent in different ways (and rightly so, when you consider the blind, the carers and the unemployed), but they still don’t see the big picture.

It makes not a bit of difference whether we shave €6bn off our budget or not, we are in a hole so deep it’s of no consequence. I really don’t have an answer other than replying that what we are doing is not the answer.
