‘Vile desecration’ of a national treasure

I MUST object in the strongest terms possible to what can only be described as your vile desecration of the 1916 proclamation of independence (November 19).

The proclamation is a treasure belonging to the Irish people and should be respected as a tribute to those who gave their lives in the name of Irish freedom. That you would have the nerve to print such an insulting facsimile is the final kick in the teeth to a people who are already on their knees due to the abject failures of the politicians, regulators and bankers.
