Recession-proof view of drink-drive issue

HOW a TD can sit in his recession-proof job, for now, and decide it is okay for a nervous driver to use alcohol as a stimulant leaves me somewhat bewildered.

There is no doubt a lower drink-drive limit will save lives. If the new limit was to save just one life per year, and the heartache for family and friends, it would be worth it.

As a constituent of Mattie McGrath TD I look forward to seeing him on the canvass in the not so distant future when he will meet people who have lost relatives to the scourge of drink drivers. If this is the attitude we can expect from the people we vote into office then we are in for a very bleak future.
