Tubridy’s ‘rude’ question to Taoiseach deplored

WATCHING the “new” Late Late Show on Friday night I was dismayed when Ryan Tubridy asked Taoiseach Brian Cowen about his drinking.

I would be all in favour of quizzing the Taoiseach about political and economic affairs.

But the nastiness, cheapness and rudeness of the question about the Taoiseach’s personal life was disturbing. In relation to certain matters in his own life, Ryan Tubridy appealed for privacy some time ago. To the best of my knowledge most people complied.
