Same rules for all

IN his letter (September 1), Seamus Rattigan claims the lack of SIPO restrictions on private companies from campaigning in the Lisbon referendum gives an advantage to the Yes side.

Same rules for all

He is wrong. The SIPO laws (or in this case, the lack of them) apply to both sides.

Mr Rattigan’s only complaint seems to be that no major multinational has called for a No vote. This speaks volumes about the merits of the treaty in terms of its value to job creation. I wonder why Mr Rattigan and others failed to raise this same point during the last referendum? when the Libertas No campaign was aided by large amounts of the corporately-gained wealth of Declan Ganley.
