The HSE could save billions if it challenged drug manufacturers to stamp out profiteering. All public bodies could save half of their massive expenditures. They are far too fixated on mirroring the real world in make-believe cyberspace. Not content with electronic records, they insist on paper trails.

The real reason for that waste of time, effort and money is an institutional fear of litigation and the substitution of machines for brains.
