Free speech under threat

IT disgusted me to learn that in 21st century Ireland, apparently a modern liberal democracy, free speech may be undermined by an arrogant and intolerant minority who demand that their opinion be respected and heeded yet grant no such respect to those who merely wish to speak upon one of the greatest ethical questions of our generation.

Those that forcibly deny their opponents from espousing a different view completely undermine their own cause and are clearly of the most questionable integrity.

Whether these individuals like it or not, the debate on euthanasia shall and must continue, free speech must never be trampled in this state by the religious fervour of a select few.
