CONGRATULATIONS to Damien Enright on his brilliant and beautifully written article (“And now here’s some good news....” on March 30).

While sincerely sympathetic to anyone genuinely suffering because of the recession, I feel there is far too much gloom and doom being spread around.

Beyond a necessary sufficiency, there are far more worthwhile things in life than making money and Damien enright should be thanked for reminding us of them.
