Treason and money

TRANSPORT Minister Noel Dempsey accuses those responsible for the wrongdoing in Anglo Irish Bank of “economic treason”.

Economic treason may be defined as a betrayal of trust which undermines both the economic foundations and the economic independence of our society.

As such, it should apply not only to those at Anglo Irish Bank but also to all those financial managers, developers, politicians and others who have either by direct means or through neglect of their duty reduced this society to economic degradation.
