Level the waste mountain and save a fortune
Ireland is facing millions of euro in fines if it does not reduce the amount of biodegradable waste in landfills. Environmentally and economically this is a problem that should have been dealt with long ago and must be addressed now.
Money to sort it out may be in short supply but it is not a consideration because the problem of biodegradable waste has to be dealt with whatever it costs and adding fines to the equation makes no sense.
