Lopsided financial system hits savers

IS it just me who resents the unfair way worldwide financial problems have affected the ordinary saver?

As someone who has no debts and has managed to remain consistently in credit, I’m disturbed by the fact that my money is ebbing away while those with serious debts also have seen them ebb away.

Who benefits? What sort of lopsided financial system can penalise someone who has managed to save some money?
