Patriotic gesture needed

SO Beverley Flynn will receives a special independent TD’s payment of €41,000 a year tax free until 2012, even though she has rejoined Fianna Fáil.

The allowance is on top of Ms Flynn’s salary of €106,581.

If only to prove her patriotism to Finance Minister Brian Lenihan, she should hand back this money.
