Bishop and minister fail in their duty of care

MINISTER for Children Barry Andrews has ultimate responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of our most valuable and yet most vulnerable asset — our children.

Listening to him being interviewed on RTÉ radio (December 23) reminded me of the three monkeys — see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing. He sounded like a sorry mess of procrastinating ineptitude.

Bishop John Magee of Cloyne was appointed to administer the diocese with a duty of care to all of its people, especially children.
