Bad management

APART from the criticisms on stealth taxes and the employment levy announced in the budget, there are concerns about the long-term implications of increased Government borrowing.

The key question is what got us into this mess to begin with?

While there are global factors at play outside our control, there was an over-reliance on the construction sector which was unsustainable. The Government was repeatedly warned about this by many economists and bodies such as the ESRI and OECD, but chose to ignore it. This is yet another example of bad management by Fianna Fáil.
