Politicians should be on two-tier pay system

IN response to Anthony Leavy’s critique (Letters, September 18) of my letter (September 15), I feel he has misread points I clearly made in relation to TDs’ salaries.

Firstly, I do not want a one-party state after our experiences with Fianna Fáil.

However, I do advocate running the country with infinitely fewer public representatives (and no quangos).
