Taoiseach’s race is run and FF should say so
People are rightly concerned about his inability to give straight answers to legitimate questions about his financial affairs. The tax implications could be very serious for the Taoiseach, possibly hundreds of thousands of euro in interest and penalties.
There may also be massive tax implications for those who had dealings with him. As endearing as Bertie Ahern is to some people, it’s certainly time for the Irish people to call his fitness to be head of the government into question and for Fianna Fáil to invoke democratic procedures to force his resignation.
