THE North, it seems, has plenty to offer with the sudden and swift arrival of Aer Lingus. It’s well known down South that the cost of doing business against a background of a corrupt and decadent political system is a serious deterrent to honest enterprise.

One thing is clear: Aer Lingus has been watching political developments in Northern Ireland very closely and it would seem it was only too happy to move there once some stability had been established.
