Leadership needed - Politicians need to lead by example

With the start of the new school year the media spotlight is inevitably turned on teachers and pupils.

This year the 37 members of the Dáil who list themselves as teachers are the focus of attention.

If they should lose their seats, they are entitled to get their old teaching jobs back, unless they have resigned their positions.
