Economic state - Every citizen should gain from wealth

Despite the recent frenzy on the Irish stock market, the Wealth of the Nation Report issued by the Bank of Ireland yesterday paints a rosy picture, with our prosperity growing by 19% last year.

Ireland now ranks as the second wealthiest country of the 35 members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The OECD consists of democratic countries operating on the basis of a free market economy.
