At the time of writing early July doesn’t look much better and Met Éireann is broadcasting potato blight warnings.

This wasn’t what we were promised by the climate change experts and it’s annoying for people who enjoy being outdoors. I do grow some potatoes and the problem is that you can’t spray them with copper sulphate when it’s raining or when it’s about to rain because the stuff just gets washed off the leaves. But if it’s annoying for me it’s a far more serious matter for some of the wildlife that lives around here.
