Language unfit for children and the front page
While I sympathise with the viewpoint of Bob Geldof, the manner in which it was expressed was totally inappropriate for a newspaper like the Irish Examiner. I seriously doubt if any of the tabloids would have headlined any report or article in such a way.
Does this mean we will be reading direct quotes from footballers and managers in the sports pages when referees make decisions they are not happy with? I buy the Irish Examiner and encourage my children to read it. I also encourage them to express themselves without using the language that now seems acceptable for you to use on your front page.
