Apathy over Tara is beyond comprehension

IT astonishes me to hear that a sizeable proportion of the people of Ireland seem to have no interest in saving Tara, arguably Ireland’s most sacred place.

Are they so stupified by greed they don’t see its historical and cultural importance? Why it has not been designated a World Heritage Site is beyond me.

If this destruction is allowed to continue, generations to come will be deprived of something priceless and irreplaceable and Bertie Ahern will go down in history as the head of government who allowed it to happen.
