Gender equality

LABOUR Women chair Sineád Ní Chulacháin says, when in power, Labour will bring in gender quotas for candidates for political parties (Irish Examiner letters, June 1).

To ensure one gender doesn’t have undue influence on party policy, I presume they will ensure that if a party has a women’s section and chair, it must also have a men’s section and chair.
