Homophobic comments

THE remarks made by DUP junior minister Ian Paisley Jnr on lesbians and gays are an affront to society.

Homosexuals face many barriers in society and it is not acceptable that anyone, especially someone in public office, can spread hatred toward any section of society.

The issue of homosexuality, and the views of those who spread hatred, must be treated with more severity Europe-wide. If we fail to confront this, we will continue to see unprovoked attacks on homosexuals.
