Why women prefer to leave politics to men
All parties try to promote women candidates but fail to do so for one reason only: women, in general, are less willing than men to take on positions of responsibility. This phenomenon is not explained by the usual excuses like unsocial hours and child-rearing duties as these only affect a minority of women.
Perhaps the ‘let the men do it’ attitude is innate to women. Or since statistics show that women are more likely to vote for men than their own kind, perhaps they recognise that the more rational, logical male mind is better equipped for the task of governance than the more emotional female mind. The fact that this theory may offend the politically correct does not render it invalid.
