Cork’s ‘Taj Mahal’ took wing in Dublin
He needs to be told the project was totally controlled by Aer Rianta head office, including design, scheduling, budgeting, and ‘consultation’ with interested parties. Ryanair was quite rightly blunt and forthright in its opposition to the profligacy of these people. But Ryanair’s view was ignored.
From my knowledge of the project I can assure Mr Molloy that if Cork people had been given a say it would have cost significantly less, the design would be more practical, passengers would not have to climb 26 steps, ongoing maintenance would be far less challenging and Cork passengers would be able to find their way around the complex.
