Enda needs to raise his game

FINE Gael leader Enda Kenny argues that Fine Gael deserves a chance in government because Fianna Fáil have been in power for too long.

Giving a run on the pitch to the ever-present substitute may be a nice thing to do at underage GAA matches, but it is certainly not the criterion we should use to elect a government.

The onus on Mr Kenny is to show the Irish people he can offer a better government than the current team — or else remain sitting on the bench.
