Grateful parents say thanks for everything

WE the parents of Emma and Clodagh Barrett would like to thank all those who helped us throughout last year after Emma contracted meningitis and her baby sister Clodagh was born with complications that led to a longer stay in hospital than we had bargained for.

Grateful parents say thanks for everything

Firstly, thanks to our GP whose quick action saved us precious time in relation to Emma. Thanks also to the doctors and nurses at Cork University Hospital, St Finbarrs’s Hospital, Cork, and Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, especially the cochlea implant team at Beaumont led by Dr Laura Viania whose expertise we have reason greatly to appreciate.

We wish also to thank Dairygold Food Ingredients whose understanding was much appreciated with regard to time off and flexible working arrangements.

We are grateful also for the trip to Lourdes, which was supported by management and employees, and for the financial collection which was beyond the call of duty, but most timely.

We thank the many individuals who supported us through good works, wise words and prayers. Thanks especially to those individuals who gave financial support from their own pockets — we were humbled by such generosity and truly grateful for it. Both our families have also kept us going with their constant help — be it on our regular trips to Dublin or local trips to clinics in Cork. What they have done for us cannot be measured. We would like to wish a happy and peaceful ‘07 to all concerned
