Millions spent on sport and horses while Women’s Aid gets a pittance
How many more women are going to be killed or seriously assaulted in their homes or elsewhere in Ireland before there is political will to tackle this heinous social problem once and for all?
It is unfathomable that millions of euro can be spent on obsolete e-voting machines, Croke Park and the Irish equine industry, yet a mere €70,000 sought by Women’s Aid for its vital helpline is not forthcoming. It is time to shout stop and end the political inertia.
