Reviewer didn’t get the point of the movie

IT seems Colette Sheridan has failed to grasp the reason why the Borat movie is popular (Irish Examiner, November 9).

Sacha Baron Cohen is deliberately raising controversial subjects to get a ‘rise’ out of people.

I’m not a big fan, but at least the comedian-cum-actor is trying to push boundaries. Ms Sheridan, it seems, was “looking forward to political incorrectness” provided, of course, it didn’t “degrade women”. God forbid.

Two words, Ms Sheridan: lighten up.
