Be grateful for people like Bono and Bob
It appears hypocritical to many that people like Bono and Bob Geldof, for example, work to improve the lives of those not as fortunate as themselves. The underlying theme appears to be that men of substantial wealth should not be doing this.
Would these people prefer if Bono and Bob didn’t work tirelessly for the good of others? Would they prefer them not to ever consider anyone other than themselves?
Should we not be grateful there are people who use their status to draw attention to the problems faced by others? Being a multi-millionaire should not be irreconcilable with working for the poor.
