Garda Reserve - GRA should put interest of State first

MEMBERS of the new Garda Reserve began their training at the Garda College in Templemore last week, amid untimely controversy.

PJ Stone, the General Secretary of the Garda Representative Association (GRA), went over the top in his statement warning that his organisation would continue to oppose the new reserve, whose members would end up being hated and despised.

The GRA’s opposition to the Reserve force is already well known and could eventually prove warranted, if the reservists are assigned to duties for which they have not been properly trained.
