I THINK Pope Benedict’s remarks were taken out of context and that the Muslim response to them was an overreaction.

However, the Islamic people who are baying for an apology from the Pope should first look to their own and demand an apology from Osama bin Laden and other Muslim extremists for 9/11 in the US and 7/7 in London.

The Pope used words, no more. The murderous attacks by bin Laden’s followers were incomparably worse than a mere quotation from history by a Christian leader.
