Minority interest

HOW come the PD leadership change got such massive publicity given that the party is within the margin of error in the opinion polls.

We had three senators who are not even elected by the restricted Seanad process leading the charge (they were Taoiseach’s nominees) and Colm O’Gorman who is not even a member of a lowly town council.

Then we had talk of electoral colleges, weighted majorities, and so on, making the goings-on in the Sistine Chapel look simple.
