Medical education - Good news on course for students
The news from the Central Applications Office (CAO) today will put a smile on the faces of about three-quarters of them who will learn that they will be offered a place on their chosen course.
Noticeable this year is the reform promised by the Government in the area of medical education. The 30-year cap on the number of medical places has gone and Education Minister Mary Hanafin has announced that 70 additional places will be made available in the State’s five medical schools.
