Aer Lingus flotation - Selling the airline will not be easy

THE acceptance of Labour Court recommendations on pay and changing work practices means the way is finally clear for the Government to sell Aer Lingus.

With SIPTU expected to recommend the plan, staff are in line for a 4% pay rise in return for delivering cost cuts.

But selling Aer Lingus will not be easy. Since political indecision at the highest level held up the flotation, conditions have become less favourable.
