Worlds apart

WATCHING the World Cup games from Germany, as many people are these days, I am most impressed with the variety of magnificent stadia.

I dare to dream: what if the World Cup was coming to Ireland? We are constantly being told how rich we are as a nation, yet our stadia and other pitches are Third World standard.
